Do you see my quote?
No. The quote is read and checked in your browser. It is never uploaded. If you choose to add your price to improve local data, only a few anonymous fields are sent: the job, the month, the rounded total and your first three ZIP digits.
Where do the prices come from?
National line-item costs adjusted for each metro by local HVAC wages (BLS), regional prices (BEA), weather (NOAA) and permit fees, published as the HVACFIND Price Index 2026Q4.2. Real local prices that people share correct the model over time.
What does the quote check look for?
The total against your local range, missing permits, oversizing, efficiency below the regional minimum, R-410A offered as new, references to the ended 25C tax credit, missing model numbers and warranties, financing cost, rebates you may be missing, and the contractor's license where the state publishes it.
Can you recommend a contractor?
Yes. Ask for a second quote and we pass your request to one licensed contractor who covers your ZIP, after we confirm the job with you. The quote check also looks up the contractor's license where the state publishes it.
